Kombucha Cocktail Worth Trying
While Kombucha has been around as far back as the year 221 BC in the northeastern Chinese region historically referred to as Manchuria, it has only recently been gaining popularity across the United States. It seems as though, nearly every month or so, a few dozen new kombucha brands are popping up all over the country. In San Diego alone, we’ve seen dozens of kombucha brands flooding the stores and houses like JuneShine Ranch, Boochcraft, and Jaybird Kombucha opening up around town. For this month’s recipe, we couldn’t help but join in on all the kombucha fun and whip up a lovely Kombucha Cocktail worth trying.
Spiced Cranberry Apple Kombucha Sangria
It’s nearly the end of August, which means summer is coming to an end, and fall is just around the corner. To properly close the end of yet another fantastic season and welcome another right, we decided to go with a lovely Spiced Cranberry Apple Kombucha Sangria recipe this month. You can’t spell summer without sangria, and you definitely can’t spell fall with a little spiced action. The recipe below is flavorful, tart, and fizzy and is indeed the best way to take you from one season to the next like no other. It’s straightforward to make, it’s great for parties, and it is just so delicious. Try it out, and let us know how you like it!
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of your favorite white wine
- 1 -2 bottles of your favorite Kombucha
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 cup of frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup of pure and sugar-free cranberry juice
- 2 Oranges, sliced
- 4 Apples
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Whole Cloves
- 1/4 raw honey
Items needed:
- A large bowl (used to house your mixture)
- A stirring utensil
- A ladle for serving
Directions:
As mentioned, this recipe is incredibly easy to make. So much so that there are only FIVE steps. Yup, F-I-V-E! The first step, well, is to measure out all your ingredients. Once you’ve measured them all out, the next step is to stud your orange slices with your cloves. This helps them stay in place instead of randomly floating in your mixture. After you’ve studded your oranges, the next step is to dump all your ingredients in your allotted bowl. The last step is to allow your mixture to sit and let it do its magic. Do so by placing your mixture in the fridge for several hours or overnight. Preferably overnight. You know what they say, “Good things come to those who wait.” Waiting overnight allows your spices to blend thoroughly into the mixture and bring out the flavors. After letting your mixture marinate, your next and final step is to grab a glass and your ladle and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
